Hi Friends! Can you believe that Easter is almost here? It’s early this year, so it seems like there’s less time to prepare. If you’re looking for a quick and easy Easter craft, I have a super simple, kid friendly idea for decorating Easter eggs to share with you today. My little diva has been wanting to try a washi tape craft, and after I bought some the other day, she made these colorful washi tape Easter eggs all by herself. Aren’t they adorable?
Washi tape can be pricey, but I found a bag of assorted colors at Target in the Easter section the other day, and it was only a few dollars. So of course, I snatched it right up. Plus, the colors were perfect for spring! We have a bunch of plastic eggs, so my daughter decided to decorate the eggs with washi tape.
There were a few wrinkles, but since it’s a kids’ craft, that’s perfectly fine. I think it’s more important to encourage creativity in kids than to worry about perfection. And really, my crafts definitely aren’t perfect either!
She added some pink-flowered tape to a lime-green egg.
She also added some patterned orange washi tape to an orange egg.
She even tried a chevron pattern with multiple colors. This one was definitely the hardest to do.
Now, we have a basket full of washi tape eggs. The possibilities are endless, and it’s a great way to keep the kids busy for a little while. Even younger kids can do this, but you’ll have to cut the tape for them. And, I’m thinking that these colorful eggs would be great to use for Easter egg hunts!
Have you ever crafted with washi tape? Have you made washi tape eggs? I loved watching my daughter make these, and I think I may just have to make some of my own!
Thanks a bunch for visiting!
