Creamy Apple Pie Filling Dip

This no bake dessert dip is a cross between a caramel apple cheesecake and classic apple pie. You don’t need to turn the oven on, so this easy dessert is perfect for those warm days in early fall when you’re craving all things apple, but it’s too warm for baked apple desserts like apple crisp or easy apple dumplings or apple pie filling dump cake or even skillet apple pie.

Ingredients

You only need 5 simple ingredients for this easy recipe. Here’s a quick overview –full amounts are in the printable recipe card below.

  • Cream cheese — let it soften at room temperature first
  • Brown sugar — to sweeten the dip
  • Vanilla extract — for flavor
  • Cinnamon — for that classic fall flavor
  • Apple pie filling — Makes this simple recipe super easy! You can use homemade pie filling if you want.

How to Make Apple Pie Dip with Cream Cheese

First, cream the cream cheese, brown sugar and vanilla in a large mixing bowl. I use an electric mixer for this, but you can use a stand mixer if you have one. You want the mixture to be nice and smooth.

mix cream cheese and brown sugar in mixing bowl.

Stir in the can of pie filling until the apple mixture is well combined. Use a spatula for this part so the apples don’t break up too much.

stir pie filling into cream cheese.

Finally, spoon the dip into a serving bowl. We like to drizzle caramel sauce on top of the dip for a caramel apple flavor. So good! But, you can leave out the sauce if you want.

drizzle caramel over dip.

Favorite Dippers

We like to serve this cream cheese apple dip with granny smith apple slices, graham crackers and cinnamon-sugar chips. Animal crackers and vanilla wafer cookies would also be tasty.

Storage

Cover and refrigerate the dip until you are ready to serve. It can be made a day or 2 ahead of time. Store any leftover dip in an airtight container in your refrigerator for 3-4 days. Make sure to refrigerate leftovers within 2 hours of serving.

Recipe Tip

You may want to slice any larger apples in the pie filling into small pieces before making the dip.
