Honey Lemon Green Tea Popsicles are smooth, slightly sweet and so refreshing on a hot day. If you enjoy green tea, you’ll love this frozen version!
This post was sponsored by Tradewinds Slow-Brewed Iced Tea as part of the Mom It Forward Blogger Network. However, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
I’m a tea fanatic. Oh, I still love coffee, but when it’s hot out, I only have a cup or two in the morning. And in the afternoon, I’ll pour myself a nice tall mug of iced tea with lemon. Sometimes, I’ll even throw in a few pieces of fresh fruit — it’s the perfect treat!
I’m not a big fan of sweet tea — no offense if you are. And since I’m not from the South, I suppose this is okay. Right? Anyway, ever since I discovered Tradewinds Slow Brewed Iced Tea, it’s become my go-to afternoon drink. I honestly love the taste, and I usually choose the Unsweet variety. In fact, our local market has a display right in the front of the store, and I like to pick up a big jug of this delicious tea and then continue shopping.
So the other day, I found a jug of Tradewinds Green Tea with Honey, and I just had to try it. It’s slightly sweet, but not too sweet, and it’s actually a nice change from the usual.ย But instead of just drinking the tea, I decided to make some homemade popsicles — for me.ย The kids love when I make smoothie pops, but since they’re not too fond of tea, I get to keep these beauties all to myself — go me!ย
These are probably the easiest summer treats ever. All I did was add some fresh blueberries to popsicle molds, and then I just poured in some of the green tea. Since the tea is already made, there’s no brewing, mixing or anything else — just pour it in, and you’re good to go.
I did add some lemon, because I always add a slice of lemon to the glass. Plus, honey and lemon go so well together. I just cut a lemon in half and squeezed a few drops in right before I added the popsicle sticks.

After about four hours, the ice pops were frozen and ready to taste. You may have to run the molds under warm water for a few seconds before taking the popsicles out. I actually had no trouble with these pops. Whenever I make smoothie pops, it takes a little effort to get them out in one piece, but these green tea popsicles were perfect!
They’re icy cold, smooth, and the flavor is truly unique. Theย honey-lemon combo really stands out, and the taste is very refreshing.
The frozen blueberries taste good too!
Here in Phoenix, it will be hot for another couple of months, at least, so I’ll be making more of these honey lemon green tea popsicles. I think this will be the perfect treat after running the kids to and from school and chasing after our new energetic fur baby!
What a fun and refreshing treat! Thanks so much for sharing with Full Plate Thursday today. Have a great day and come back soon!
