If you’re looking for an easy recipe with fresh, juicy peaches, you’ll love this delicious peach dessert! It’s the best way to use up peaches, and you only need 4 ingredients and just a few minutes to make this yummy dessert!
I’ve been making these brown sugar cinnamon baked peaches for dessert every summer, just because they are super easy, and peaches are my favorite fruit.
Honestly, there’s nothing to this delicious dessert at at all — it’s one of my favorite simple recipes ever because it comes together in just a few quick steps.
In fact, I even make this fruity dessert on a foil-lined cookie sheet so that I won’t have to wash any dishes. How’s that for lazy?!
Ingredients
You only need 4 ingredients for this dessert, and they’re all pantry staples. Here’s what you need:
- Fresh peaches — ripe peaches that are still mostly firm to the touch work best
- Butter
- Brown sugar
- Cinnamon
The key is to use peaches that are ripe but not over ripe. If the peaches are too hard, you’ll be fighting to remove the pit. If they’re too soft, you’ll end up with a bunch of watery, mushy peaches — been there, done that, not fun!
How to Make Baked Peaches with Brown Sugar and Cinnamon
First, wash and cut the peaches in half. Then, carefully remove the pits, and scoop out the center using a melon baller or a spoon.
Next, place the peach halves on a baking sheet or in a baking dish. Season peaches with a little bit of cinnamon, and fill the centers with butter and brown sugar.
Next, pop them into the oven.
Cook Time
The peaches are ready when they’re soft and the filling is warm and melted. This takes about 10 minutes or so.
Test the baked peaches with a knife or fork. If they pierce easily, they’re done.
You can eat the peaches now if you want, but I like to fancy mine up a bit. Just add a scoop of ice cream — a large scoop of vanilla ice cream is my personal favorite — and a drizzle of caramel sauce, and you’ve got yourself the perfect summer dessert!
As a bonus, your home will fill with an absolutely amazing smell!
Variations
There are a few ways to customize this delicious dessert.
To make this a healthy dessert, you can omit the butter and brown sugar. Instead of topping the peaches with ice cream, add some greek yogurt.
A great way to add more flavor to this peaches recipe is to drizzle on some honey after baking.
Rolled oats are a great addition. Just toss some on before cooking, and the final result will be just like a peach crisp!
An easy way to add a crunch to these baked peaches is by topping them with toasted almonds.
How to Store
I do not recommend keeping these easy baked peaches at room temperature. Store them in the fridge in an air tight container. They will keep for two days before they get too mushy.
I do not recommend freezing these peaches.
This may be the easiest peach dessert ever, but don’t forget about peach pie, cobbler, cake and crisp completely.

This dessert is one of my favorite ways to use up any peaches on my counter. And, it’s the only way my picky eater will eat the peach skin!
I hope you love this recipe as much as we do. My family has been loving these brown sugar cinnamon baked peaches so much that we’ve made them several times already this summer.

I’m actually kind of obsessed with summer peaches … and I’m strongly of the opinion that few things can’t be improved with a scoop of ice cream. 😉 I love the idea of baking the peaches with some cinnamon and sugar to really bring out their sweet, juicy flavors!
