Make Cake Mix Banana Cookies using ripe bananas and a box of cake mix with this super easy cookie recipe. They’re soft, fluffy and delicious!

If you have a few ripe bananas to use up, this 2 ingredient cookie recipe is for you. These cookies are made without eggs, oil or milk — just bananas and your favorite cake mix.

I whipped up these 2 ingredient cookies in about 30 minutes. I needed to use up some almost overripe bananas, and I wanted to make a treat for the kiddos.

Normally, I’d make Frosted Banana Bread Cookies or Banana Applesauce Muffins or Zucchini Banana Muffins or Banana Oatmeal Cookies. But, I didn’t have a lot of time, and I already made 2 Ingredient Banana Muffins earlier in the week. So, I made these easy banana cookies, instead!

2 Ingredient Cookies

I have several cake mix cookie recipes on the blog. Normally, you use eggs and milk, but you don’t need those for banana cookies.

Just mash the bananas in a mixing bowl. I used 3 ripe bananas here.

When the bananas are completely mashed, add your cake mix. I used yellow cake mix, but you can use white cake mix if you have that.

Mix the ingredients until they’re well combined. You might think the mix is too dry, but it will thin out as you keep mixing.

So, the basic recipe is just 2 ingredients, but I added a little cinnamon for flavor. And, a few chocolate chips never hurt anyone, right?!

Use a tablespoon to scoop up the dough and drop it onto a cookie sheet. This cookie dough is thin and very sticky. Pro tip — spray your tablespoon with non-stick spray for easier release!

I also highly recommend using foil, parchment paper or silicone mats. Clean-up is so much easier this way!

The cookies take about 12 minutes to bake. Every oven is different, though, so test the cookies at about 10 minutes in.

The edges should be firm, and the tops should be slightly golden. They’ll be soft, but they firm up as they cool down.

These banana cookies are soft, fluffy and taste like banana bread. My kids gobbled them up in no time!

I only have 2 bananas. Do I need to add anything else for moisture?

Only if it’s too dry after mixing the cake mix. If not, you don’t need to add anything.
