Chocolate Chip Cheesecake Dip
This creamy chocolate chip cheesecake dip is a cross between a cheesecake dip and chocolate chip cookie dough, and it tastes amazing! Best of all, you can whip up this delicious dip in just a few minutes. So, it’s perfect for quick treat for the kids, an easy no bake dessert or a sweet dip for the holidays.
I have a lot of dessert dip recipes on the blog, as well as a dessert dip ebook. If you love dessert dips, you’ll want to try my Reese’s Dip, cannoli dip, pumpkin pie dessert dip or peppermint mocha dip and eggnog dip , plus more dessert recipes your family will love.
Ingredients
You only need a few simple ingredients for this easy dessert. If you don’t have these pantry staples on hand, you can find them in your grocery stores. Full amounts are in the recipe card below.
- Cream cheese — I use full fat cream cheese softened at room temperature
- Butter — softened, not melted. I use salted butter, but unsalted butter is fine.
- Vanilla extract — for flavor
- Brown sugar — adds a cookie dough flavor
- Powdered sugar or confectioner’s sugar — for sweetness
- Mini chocolate chips — They work better in a dip than regular chocolate morsels
How to Make Chocolate Chip Dip
First, set the cream cheese and butter out to soften up. You really need room temperature butter and cream cheese to make mixing easier. Then, cream the butter and softened cream cheese in a large mixing bowl using a hand mixer. You can also do this in a stand mixer if you have one.
Next, add the vanilla extract and brown sugar to the cream cheese mixture and beat until creamy. Then, gradually add the powdered sugar. If you add it all at once, it tends to fly everywhere! Beat the ingredients until well combined.
Finally, stir in the chocolate chips with a large spoon or spatula. I used half a cup here, which is a decent amount of chocolate chips. You can add more if you want or add them to the top of the creamy chocolate chip dip before serving.
And, that’s all it takes to make cheesecake dip! Just spoon the dip into a small serving bowl, and you’re ready to eat!
What to Serve with Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Dip
Any of your favorite dessert dippers will work great with this yummy dip. Try animal crackers, vanilla wafers, honey graham crackers, chocolate graham crackers, Teddy Grahams, pretzel rods, or sugar cookies. Fresh fruit is also a great choice. Strawberries, apple slices, or your favorite fruit are all great choices!
Variations
There are a couple ways to customize this easy cookie dough dip to your liking.
For a richer dip, add more butter. You can add 1 stick or a half cup butter instead of a quarter cup.
Instead of semisweet chocolate chips, use milk chocolate chips, white chocolate chips, or dark chocolate chips.
Get a fun pop of color by adding sprinkles. This would be perfect for a birthday party.
Add a drizzle of chocolate syrup over the dip or add chopped nuts for extra crunch.
How to Store
Store creamy cookie dough dip in an airtight container or covered with plastic wrap. It’ll last for 2 to 3 days in the refrigerator. Bring dip to room temperature before serving.
Recipe Tip
Make sure the butter and cream cheese are softened before using so they will be easier to work with.
