Ingredients
You only need 4 ingredients for this crock pot ranch pork chops recipe. Look for them in your grocery store or online.
- Bone-in pork chops — Look for thick cut chops 1/2 inch to 1 inch thick for best results. This recipe works well for 4 to 6 chops.
- Cream of chicken soup – for the gravy
- Cream of celery soup
- Ranch dressing mix — Look for the packet of ranch dressing, like Hidden Valley, not the bottle
How to Make Crock Pot Ranch Pork Chops
First, mix the ranch dressing mix and cream soups in a small bowl until well combined.
I have tried adding dressing mix and soups directly to the slow cooker without mixing, but the dressing mix tends to clump up. It works better this way.
Next, spray the slow cooker with non stick spray. Then, place pork chops in bottom of the crock pot.
If they don’t all fit in a single layer, you can place 1 or 2 chops on top of each other.
Then, spread the soup mixture evenly on top of the pork chops. If you’re using more than 4 chops in layers, make sure to spread the soup mix on all of them.
Cook Time
Place the lid on the crock pot, and cook on low for 5 to 6 hours or high for 2 to 4 hours. I highly recommend cooking pork chops on low for best results!
Total cooking time varies with different brands of slow cookers and how thick your pork chops are. If they are over 145 degrees f, according to a meat thermometer, they’re done.
My new Crock Pot cooks fast, even on the low setting, and thick pork chops are perfectly cooked at 5 hours on low.

Variations
You can make crockpot pork chops with boneless pork chops. Just make sure they are at least 1/2 inch thick for best results.
Use a can of cream of mushroom soup or your favorite condensed soup here. 2 cans work best.
Add 1/4 teaspoon of paprika or smoked paprika or onion powder or garlic powder for extra flavor. Add salt and pepper, to taste.
You can use boneless skinless chicken breasts if you don’t like pork.
FAQ
Yes! It’s safe to cook raw pork in the slow cooker. Use fresh pork, and make sure the internal temperature is at least 145 degrees f.
It’s not necessary. While searing adds flavor, these pork chops are well seasoned and have plenty of flavor after being cooked low and slow.
