Hi Everyone!
I have so many ideas for Halloween decor, and this one is probably one of the easiest crafts ever! Seriously, it takes seconds to complete this craft, and the results are too cute! Many of you know how much I love decorating with plates, and it bothered me that I didn’t have any cute decorative plates for Halloween. Well today, I was in Party City, and when I saw some spider window clings, I knew they would be perfect to use for making some DIY spider plates!
The window clings were only 99 cents for an entire sheet, so that definitely spoke to my frugal side!
I just chose the clings that I thought would look best, and the kids helped smooth them onto the plates. I trimmed the web so that it would fit better, but that’s all it took. Didn’t I tell you this was easy?!
I made two more, and added an extra spider to one of them. I didn’t want to add too many spiders because that would seriously creep me out! But, I think this is just enough. The designs really look like they were painted on the plates.
I put all three of them in my china cabinet, and I think they look very nice. And, you can’t beat the price — only 99 cents for three decorative plates! If you don’t have your own plates, you could probably find cheap ones in a thrift store or the Dollar Store and use those.
I put the rest of the spiders on the bathroom mirrors. I thought about adding some to the tiles on the fireplace, but I didn’t really want to see any spiders crawling up the wall, even if they are itsy bitsy!
Thank you so much for stopping by to look at my Halloween plates. I just love this time of year, don’t you? Have a great day!
Dee 🙂
These are so cute! I'm with you, I think that seeing spiders crawling up the wall, even if they aren't real, would give me the heebie jeebies! Love simple and cheap projects! Pinning!

Thanks a bunch, Katherine. I always love visiting your party! 🙂
Thanks, Sue. I don't think there is any way anyone can mess this one up! 🙂
Thanks so much! I still can't believe how easy this was! 🙂
Glad I stopped by during the Blog Hop. I agree…this is the kind of project you can actually do as a busy person and feel as though you really accomplished something. Plus I love any project kids can help with and not mess up. Thanks!
This is so simple and cute! right up my alley. I love this idea.
what a terrific idea!! Thank you for sharing at thee Thursday Favorite Things Blog Hop xo
Thanks, Ronda. I love how they look, and I wish I could get a good picture of them in the cabinet, but all you can see is the glare from the glass.
Thanks so much, Sandra. This is proabably the easiest craft I've ever done.:)
Thanks, Susie. I'm not into gory either. Spiders are about as creepy as it gets here.:)
