This easy Million Dollar Dip recipe is made with cream cheese, mayo, bacon, cheddar cheese and green onions. Sometimes called Neiman Marcus Dip, it’s the perfect appetizer for parties and game day!
Neiman Marcus Dip
You can never have too many easy appetizer recipes, especially during football season and the holiday season. If you’re looking for an easy dip recipe, you have to try this amazing Million Dollar Dip. It’s been around awhile, and it was originally created by Helen Corbitt and known as Neiman Marcus Dip.
I’m not sure exactly where the million dollar part came in, but I can tell you this delicious dip totally deserves the name. With ingredients like cheese and bacon, it’s loaded with flavor and tastes like a million bucks! For more cold dips, try my Everything Bagel Dip or Dill Pickel Dip.
Ingredients
Here’s a quick overview of what you need to make this easy cold dip recipe. Full amounts are in the printable recipe card below.
- Cream cheese — full fat cream cheese, softened at room temperature for easy mixing
- Mayonnaise — I use Dukes, but use your favorite brand of mayo.
- Bacon — It’s totally worth it to cook bacon (in a skillet or air fryer) but you can use real bacon bits from the store in a pinch.
- Cheddar cheese — Sharp cheddar cheese or medium cheddar for the most flavor. Grate your own cheese or buy a bag of shredded cheese from the store.
- Green onions — slice them up nice and thin. You’ll use the white part and the green part. You can sub chives or use onion powder or dried onions.
- Almonds — You can use slivered almonds in the dip, but I added a few sliced almonds on the top to mimic a cheese ball. I know my picky eaters would not like nuts in the dip!
- Garlic powder and cayenne pepper — for extra flavor
How to Make Million Dollar Dip
Just add the cream cheese to a mixing bowl and mix with an electric mixer until it’s fluffy. Then add the mayo and mix until creamy.
Stir in the remaining ingredients with a spatula or large spoon. When the mixture is well combined, spoon it into a serving bowl. You can enjoy this creamy dip right away or chill it in the fridge until you are ready to serve.
Serving Suggestions
Top the dip with sliced almonds, additional cheddar cheese, crumbled bacon and onion slices. Serve with your favorite dippers like with buttery crackers (Ritz crackers) pretzels, bagel chips, tortilla chips, potato chips or celery.
Storage
Store the dip in an airtight container or covered with plastic wrap in your refrigerator for 3-4 days. This cream cheese dip does firm up after awhile, so the consistency may be more like a spread.
Recipe Tip
To save time, plan ahead and have leftover cooked bacon ready to go. You can also use bacon crumbles from the store.
