- ¾ cup butter softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup mashed ripe bananas 2 large or 3 small
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 ¾ cup oats
- 1 ¼ cup all purpose flour
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
- ½ cup semi sweet chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream together softened butter and sugar, then add egg
Mix in mashed bananas, vanilla extract and oats
Add flour, baking soda, salt, nutmeg and cinnamon, and mix well.
Stir in chocolate chips, and use tablespoon to drop dough onto lined cookie sheets, and bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until edges are firm and cookies are light brown.
Makes about 36 cookies. You can use old fashioned or quick oats.
Add more chocolate chips if you want or leave them out completely.
