- 1 15-oz box yellow cake mix
- 1 can pumpkin puree
- 2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
- fall candy sprinkles and extra chocolate chips (optional)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees f
Line a 12-cup muffin tin with parchment/paper muffin liners or grease with butter or non stick cooking spray
In a large mixing bowl, mix the cake mix, pumpkin pie spice, cinnamon, nutmeg and pumpkin puree until fully combined
Stir in the chocolate chips
Fill muffin cups evenly with batter, and top with fall sprinkles and additional chocolate chips, if desired
Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until toothpick inserted into center of muffins come out clean
Use white cake mix, spice cake mix, vanilla cake mix or chocolate cake mix.
If using spice cake mix, leave out the additional spices.
